Diogo Coelho
1st violin

Began her musical studies at the age of eight with Suzanna Lidegran at the Conservatório de Música do Porto. In 1999 he was admitted to Artave (Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave) in the class of the same pedagogue, concluding his graduation with distinction.

He completed his studies at Esmae (School of Performing Arts - Porto) with Dr. Radu Ungureanu where he finished his Degree in Instrument (Violin) with the maximum classification and the Master in Artistic Interpretation with an average of eighteen values.

He participated in Masterclasses with Boris Kuniev, Anibal Lima, Zakhar Bron, Yossi Zivoni, Philippe Aiche, Roman Nodel and Daniel Rowland on violin and with the renowned string quartets Prazak, Fine Arts, Pavel Haas, Ardeo and Ébéne. In 2010 she won the first prize in the Helena Sá e Costa Contest in Esmae, performing solo with the Sinfonieta Orchestra, playing Concerto nº1, op.l9 of S.Prokofiev under the baton of maestro Vytautas Lukocius.

He recently completed an integrated masterclass at the Aurora Chamber Music Festival (Sweden) where he worked under the guidance of Professor Stephan Piccard and was directed by the prestigious master Kürt Masur. He has been a member of the Verazin Quartet since 2010, a group with which he has performed several recitals in Portugal.
