António Salgado


Born in Porto, António Salgado finished his musical studies at the Lisbon Music Conservatory, under the guidance of Prof. Fernanda Correia, while at the same time he graduated in Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto. After a year of post-graduation in the interpretation and style of baroque vocal music, in Amsterdam, under the guidance of Prof. Max von Egmond, received a scholarship from the Austrian government to pursue his vocal training in Salzburg at the Mozarteum - Universität fir Musik und Darstellende Kunst - under the guidance of Prof. Wilma Lipp and Prof. Paul von Schilhawsky, where he held a Masters in Lied and Oratory, with a dissertation in the work of Franz Schubert. She also holds a PhD in Performance Studies from the University of Sheffield.
