Miguel Rocha


Miguel Rocha began his studies at the Conservatório do Porto with Isabel Delerue. In 1983 he continued his training abroad with M. Strauss (Paris), Vectomov (Prague), Iankovic (Maastricht), Aldulescu, Pergamenchikov (Basel), Fallot (Lausanne). He obtained several diplomas with the highest classification, among them the 1st Prize of Virtuosity of the Superior Conservatory of Lausanne and the 1st Prize of the International Competition of Music UFAM. He was a scholar of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation from 1983-1985, to study in Paris and in the Superior Academy of Prague. He continued his training at the Maastricht Conservatory and at the Superior Academy in Basel as a fellow of the SEC. He participated in a Pedagogy internship at Manhattan University with Burton Kaplan and also in interpreting courses with Paul Tortelier, C. Henkel, Janos Starker, P. Muller, M. Tchaikovskaia ...
