The Póvoa de Varzim International Music Festival would like to thank all our audience, artists, administrative staff, patrons, the Póvoa de Varzim Municipal County and Direção-Geral das Artes, for making this edition possible. Wishing a long life to our Festival and until next year, celebrating the great world of music in Póvoa de Varzim!
The Festival starts tomorrow, Saturday, with the conference by musicologist Rui Vieira Nery under the theme "The risks of composing in the female: the hidden presence of women composers in the history of Western music." The event will take place in Sala de Atos of the Cine-Teatro Garrett at 5pm. Free entry!
The FIMPV 2019 program was officially presented by its new artistic director, the pianist Raúl da Costa.
Tickets will be on sale from June 18, on the platform bol.pt and Cine-Teatro Garrett (ticket office from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday, and from 3:30 p.m. on show days).
The conference of July 6 and the shows included in "Parallel Manifestations" are free entry.
On concert days, you can also buy the tickets at the places where they take place (Municipal Auditorium, Matriz and Romanic churches of S. Pedro de Rates), starting at 8:30 p.m. It is advisable to buy in advance.
